How do I get started?

The first step is to explore by finding topics and shares that interest you!
The next step is to Sign Up and create custom feed to follow you favourite topics (called 'my msfeed').


Once you have become a member (aka Guru) of the community, you can now:

○  Upvote the shares you love. When you do, they are saved to your profile 👍  ▲

○  Submit and share insightful Microsoft technology content that you find or create ❤️

○  Join in discussions, ask questions and comment on shares 💬

○  Build an awesome profile so you can strengthen your brand and standing within the community! 🌟

How do I become a member?

Simply click 'Sign Up' in the top-left menu and fill in your details in the Sign Up section. You’ll then be taken through the sign up process to create a profile. You can come back to "Your Profile" at any time to update/edit your details.


How do I submit a post?

You must be a member of our community to post any content. When logged in, you can click on the ‘Submit’ button on the left hand side of the screen, fill out the details of your content or question and post!


How do I comment on a post?

You must be a member of our community to comment. When logged in, scroll down to the bottom of the post and write your message in the comment area, click post and you have joined the discussion.


What are Guru points?

Guru points indicate the level of positive interaction a member has had with our community. You receive a Guru point for each Upvote your submitted share receives from another Guru, so the higher quality the post, the more points you will receive :)

How do I turn off email notifications?

You can change your email notifications preferences by going to "Your Profile" page and deselecting the checkbox.


My post disappeared. Where did it go? is moderated by our Community Managers. This is to ensure that content is appropriate and relevant to our members. If any material that is deemed offensive, irrelevant or marketing spam is detected, it will be removed by our Community Managers. We don’t always get it right, so if you believe we have removed a post in error, please email us at ( If we have removed the post in error, we will repost it for you.

Why did I get banned? How can I get unbanned? is moderated by our Community Managers to make sure our members consistently gain value from our community. If we ban a user, it is usually because the account has been detected as a spam account.

Some of the behaviours that may lead to being banned from our community include:

○  Regularly submitting content that is not related to Microsoft technologies

○  Not listening to a Community Manager when given a warning

○  Use of offensive language in discussions

○  Making other members feel uncomfortable, attacked or belittled in discussions

○  Regular breach of our community guidelines

How do I deactivate my account?

We’d hate to see you go, but if you find isn’t adding value to your Microsoft career, then you can deactivate your account by emailing We would love to hear your feedback and reasons for leaving, so we will send you a quick survey asking you why you have left our community. This will help us make it a valuable experience for our members and may give us ideas that will bring you back into the community!
